Anonymous shots are often some of our very favorite images. An anonymous shot is when the model's face is never fully shown. Only bits and pieces of their face and body are revealed. They create a sense of mystery and intrigue and force the photographer to experiment with differnt angles and crops. Anonymous shots are incredibly important for boudoir photographers to mix into their shooting style, because often times those are the photos clients will feel most comfortable with you sharing.
Laced Boudoir did an entire shoot dedicated to anonymous shots. These moody black and white perfectly match the mysterious tone that anonymous shots naturally invoke. Laced Boudoir proves that you really can take stunning images without giving it all away. You just have to get a little creative!
From the Photographer | This boudoir session was a collaboration between myself and a model/photographer friend of mine in the Cherry Creek area of Denver, CO. We used a very simple, modern home space I have access to that has beautiful daytime window light coming through both the bedroom and living space windows. With simplistic furniture + backdrops, we were able to highlight my client’s lingerie from Victoria’s Secret and focus on the sensual mood + movement in the images. The equipment used for this session was my Canon 5D, my 50mm, and my 85mm.
