A super moon, a gorgeous model, and mountain views - it's almost too good to be true!! When we first saw this session, we had to do a double take - is that a backdrop or is that real? Oh, it's real! This stunning session took place in Crested Butte Colorado, which is now at the top of my must-travel-to list.
Third Eye Photography already had plans for this session in the works, and when they found out a super moon was going to shine in the sky on January 31st, knew it was time to make this shoot a reality. This shot brings the "WOW" factor in a big way!
From the Photographer | This shoot started with a simple red dress. The idea was to photograph a make-up artists/model who I work with often in a sexy red dress in the winter in the Rocky Mountains of Crested Butte. I wanted to showcase a strong, sexual female among the white-covered snowy mountains of our home town. When I found out there was going to be a Super Blue Blood Moon on January 31st I knew I had my moment o make this shoot more then what I had originally envisioned. Luckily for Natalie, it has been an incredibly mild winter so we did not have to trudge through snow higher then our knees, which it usually is by the end of January, nor was it in the single digits or colder, which it usually is in January. It was a beautiful evening in the 30s with enough cloud cover to create a beautiful backdrop.
