There are few things in this world better than a great big cozy sweater to curl into after a long day. This shoot shows that boudoir photos don't have to be all lingerie and sexy poses. They can be natural, they can be tame, and they can even include some of your favorite things.
We love the way Mandi, from A Moment's Focus Photography based in Seattle, encourages her clients to just be who they are and include some personal items in their shoots. Letting your personality shine through in your boudoir photos is an amazing thing. Be who you are. Embrace it. Love it. Document it.
From the Photographer | The thought behind this particular photo session with Ivy, was that I wanted to show that you don't have to be naked or reveal everything about your body as a woman to have incredibly beautiful and sexy boudoir images. I personally believe that there is something special about being able to leave a little to the imagination. My style for most of my boudoir shoots, like this one, is to keep things as natural as possible and to make my client the highlight of the image. I use mostly natural light with the aid of one small Wescott TD6 softbox and Wescott TD6 stripbox at times when I do these types of sessions. I also shoot with a Sigma Art 50 mm lens, and a Nikon D750 camera body.
