We all reach a burnout point at some point eventually, whether it be creatively, emotionally, or physically. You do what you can to reignite that spark burried deep within you, but sometimes when you are so alone in the darkness, it takes someone else to pull you out of the slump. As photogaphers, with the creative pressure constantly on us and the stress of running a healthy business, we hit that burnout point more often than we care to admit.
This session is all about finding your spark again - whatever that may be. Step out of your comfort zone. Try something new. Let others into your world to help your light shine a little brighter.
From the Photographer | A few months ago, after an extremely difficult year (personally), I had hit my burn-out point. I was tired, beat down, questioning everything. I had just moved into a new studio. Not only did I need to simply test the lighting and feel out the space, but I needed to get some of that negative energy out and reignite my passion. I had reached out to a woman I met over a year ago. At our first session she was incredibly nervous and wouldn't allow me to photograph her without a blanket or covering, but what I always remembered about her was how she lit up the room. She is one of the most beautiful people inside and out that I know. This second session was so different from our first together. She was open, vulnerable, bold, and captivating. I love how when she looks at the camera, she's almost daring you. She was so in-tune with her body, it was incredible. Needless to say, I got my spark back and am so incredibly in love with this session!
