This forest nymph styled portrait shoot by Lucyna Aleksandra Portraits is filled with whimsy! As a girl who stares at boudoir photos for a living, I love it when something this original comes along.
Lucyna had a clear vision for the shoot, and the fabulous Bella Ti Artistry was able help bring it to life through hair and makeup. Lucyna took simple elements and was able to style them in a way that created a very high fashion look. Our favorite part is the ornamental headpiece Lucyna handmade from a branch at Hobby Lobby. So much talent here. Be sure to scroll down to see how Lucyna was able to transform her vision into a breathtaking portrait shoot.
From the Photographer | As a creative, I always look for ways to be inspired and creating styled shoots is one of my favorites ways to boost my creativity. I love women’s portraiture. I usually don’t work with real models in my styled shoots, instead I work with every day women. My goal is to show them how beautiful they are giving them unique experience & portraits, something they’ll remember for lifetime. For this styled shoot I wanted to create something very simple, yet beautiful in its essence. For the outfit, I used pieces of cheesecloth stained with tea, which I wrapped around Samy using safety pins to hold them together. For a headpiece, I used a piece of branch I found at Hobby Lobby, twisted it and wrapped securely around Samy’s head. I work with an incredible hair & makeup artist, Bella Ti Artistry. I trust her vision entirely and love watching her complete the look. The Longboat Key beach in Florida seemed like a perfect location for this shoot, with all the driftwood scattered around the beach. I usually don’t use much equipment… I shoot with Canon 5DMIII and the 70-200mm f/2.8 lens is always my "go to" lens for any outdoor sessions. And this is all I used for this photoshoot.
